A sad thought

One of my favorite things in the cycle is going to the Gubernatorial post-mortem at UC Berkeley.  Always some interesting gems and insights into "what they hell were you thinking."   I still get a wicked grin on my face every time I think of the reporters rushing to mob Lockyer after he stood in front of a room of politicos and gave a thirty minute speech on why he voted for Arnold (over Cruz in the recall).

So my sad thought today is how uneventful this years conference might be.  Sure there will be plenty of Donnellyisms to discuss.  And if Kashkari fails to get any tracking there will be the inevitable dumping session on whether his consultants were just cashing a check.  But the general is looking like it will be putting people to sleep. If this is as dramatic as it gets... :-(
